Louisville Tweetup #1

On June 12, 2008, we got a group of Louisville Twitter users together for a meetup at the Fox and Hound Pub & Grille to have drinks and meet each other face-to-face. View @earwood's touching video invitation.



We had an awesome turn out with almost 50 local Tweeple showing up. @joerbennett emceed the event and made sure that everyone got some swag... in exchange for a little time in front of the our Ustream camera.

Some notable attendees included @dgregoire who coined the term "podcasting" and @ebwright who may be the youngest Twitter user at 3 months old.



We also had a group of great sponsors who gave us swag to give away including Lijit t-shirts and stickers, Mixx t-shirts, hats and stickers, Louisville Mojo beach balls, stickers and beer koozies, Louisville Film Society passes and t-shirts, Your Mapper t-shirts, TubeMogul t-shirts and stickers, TechRepublic t-shirts, Evan Williams single barrel bourbon and PAMA liquer from Heaven Hill Distilleries and a busted old Blackberry from Todd Earwood's closet.



The event was scheduled from 6PM - 8PM; however, half of the crowd stayed until after 10PM to keep the conversation going. It was a great first event.
